Bedfordshire Woodwind Academy Flute Ensemble

An award-winning group of amateur flute players who meet regularly on a Monday evening during term-time. We play a full repertoire of music from classical favourites to jazz and pop, and perform regularly at a variety of events throughout the year.

Established in 2006 by Elizabeth Childs GRSM (Hons) LRAM, this group is intended for all enthusiastic flautists of Grade 3 and above who wish to experience playing a varied, extensive repertoire of Flute Choir music. No audition required – just an enthusiastic and committed approach!

Many members of the ensemble have enjoyed returning to playing the flute after many years of playing not much, if at all. The group uses the full range of flutes – from piccolo to bass – and all members have the opportunity to try the different instruments.

We meet from 7.30 – 9.30pm on a Monday evening (term-time only) at St Nicholas Church Hall, Church Road, Barton-le-Clay, Bedfordshire MK45 4LA.

We also have a group for Juniors!

The junior group is suitable for players Grade 2 and above, and meets just before the adults on a Monday 6.30 – 7.30pm.
